Black River Falls Woman Appears in Court for a Preliminary Hearing for Drug Overdose Death

Monday, October 5th, 2015 -- 10:58 AM

-A Black River Falls woman arrested in connection with a drug related death had a preliminary hearing in Jackson County Court on Friday.

Back in February, authorities responded to a report of a deceased man. An investigation revealed that 24-year-old Dustin Bahr had passed away from a heroin overdose.

As the investigation continued, authorities learned that a local woman who supplied Bahr with the heroin may have been responsible for his death. On May 31st, they arrested 26-year-old Dreama Harvey of Black River Falls in connection with Bahr's death. Harvey has been charged with one count of 1st degree reckless homicide.

Probable cause was found during the preliminary hearing so her court proceeding will continue. She also entered a not guilty plea to the charge against her.
