Council Reports at Neillsville City Council Meeting, Library Board and Parks and Recreation

-The Neillsville City Council heard the various committee reports held the past few weeks at their recent meeting.The council heard the report from the Library Board Meeting held on Tuesday, September 15th. The board held their officer elections and then discussed possible asbestos in the basement. They're going to try and find someone to look into it as they'd like to use the basement for programs. They also approved having two staff members attend the WLA Conference and approved the 2016 budget.
The council also heard the Parks and Recreation Board meeting held on Wednesday, September 16th. The board approved adding two canoe landings in the Neillsville portion of the county's 5-Year Outdoor Recreation Plan. They also heard a summary of the 2015 recreation programs and general maintenance in the parks. The board approved the 2016 budget for Parks and Recreation, however an equipment purchase in the Parks budget was postponed until 2017.
