NEW INFO: Name of Pittsville Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident Released

-The name of a Pittsville man killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday night has been released.On Tuesday, just before midnight, the Wood County Dispatch Center received a report of a motorcycle accident on Highway 10 East near Day Road in the Town of Marshfield.
An initial investigation by the department revealed that 66-year-old Wayne Dietz was traveling east when he entered the south shoulder, lost control and struck a sign. Dietz, who was not wearing a helmet, received severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Wood County Sheriff's Department received assistance from the City of Marshfield Ambulance, Auburndale Fire Department, Auburndale First Responders and the Wood County Coroner. The crash is still under investigation.
