Man Arrested in Abbotsford Drug Bust Enters Plea

Thursday, September 24th, 2015 -- 9:30 AM

-One of the men arrested during a drug bust in Abbotsford over a year ago appeared in Clark County Court on Wednesday and entered a plea to the charges against him.

At the end of February in 2014, the Clark County Sheriff's Department and Colby-Abbotsford Police Department executed a search warrant on Sycamore Street in the City of Abbotsford and authorities seized over $12,000 worth of methamphetamine from the home.

Jonathan Gates, of Ogema, and Anthony Rogers, of Wausau, were arrested during the bust. Gates has been charged with possession of amphetamine and felony bail jumping. Rogers has been charged with possession of amphetamine, possession of THC and a felon possessing a firearm.

Gates was initially scheduled for a motion hearing yesterday, but a plea hearing was held instead. Gates was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, the possession charges. The bail jumping charge was dismissed and read in. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and no sentencing date has been set at this time.
