Owen-Withee School Board Discusses Enrollment

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Summer School Report at their meeting last week.District Administrator Bob Houts reported to the Board that 281 students participated in the district's summer school program amassing more than 800,000 minutes of instruction. This means that 7 students will be added to Owen-Withee's enrollment count for the 2015-16 school year.
Mr. Houts also reported to the Board that preliminary numbers show that a slight decline has occurred in enrollment for the 15-16 school year. They have 9 more students coming into the district under open-enrollment than going out but they have 5 less 4K students coming into the school than went out due to graduation last fall. The final enrollment numbers will be available after the 3rd Friday in September count on September 18th.
