Boyceville Man Sentenced in Clark County for Sex with a Minor

-A Boyceville man charged here in Clark County for having sex with a minor was sentenced for the incident on Friday.

Shawn Anderson was arrested and charged for the incident after the Thorp Police Department learned that Anderson had arrived in Thorp to meet with a 16-year-old girl. The girl claimed that she had met Anderson on a social media site and had met with him on a few occasions and had sex.

Earlier this year, Anderson entered a guilty plea to a charge of exposing a child to harmful material and child enticement-recording. A charge of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime and possession of child pornography were dismissed and read in. In the end, he was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison and 1.5 years extended supervision. He is also not allowed to have any contact with the victim, no contact with minors, he can't use electronic devices, he can't go on the internet or any social media sites, he must register as a sex offender and he owes the courts $386.68.
