Presentations Start Owen-Withee School Board

-A presentation started the Owen-Withee School Board meeting on Monday.District Administrator Bob Houts introduced the three new teachers who began teaching this fall in the District. Nicole Boie (Elementary Title I math and Special Ed), Avery Seubert (3rd Grade) and Shelly Carpenter (Jr/Sr High Science) were in attendance and met the Board.
Also Noel Bartec presented the progress that WOW, or Weekend O-W kids meals, has made providing weekend meals to students. 48 bags of food are distributed every other week to students in the elementary school. WOW has teamed up with Feed My People to sponsor the "Food For More Match Challenge."
Feed My People will match one pound of food for every dollar raised by the WOW organization by September 25th. The group has done very well financially and is looking to expand its offerings.
