Local Students Receive FFA Foundation Scholarships

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Over $33,000 in Wisconsin FFA Foundation scholarships will be going to 42 students this next school year.Scholarship Selection Committee Chairman Rick Daluge says the committee saw a large pool of qualified candidates for the scholarship funds this year.
Some local recipients of this year's scholarship includes Brandon Anding of Granton receiving the Matthew D. Anderson Endowment, Kevin Johnson of Granton receiving the Elstad Brothers Endowment, Emily Gilbertson, Jamie Gilbertson, Zachary Gilbertson and Ashleigh Sternitzky all of Marshfield and all receiving the Kenneth K Heideman Endowment and Ashley Zimmerman of Spencer receiving the Bernie and Marty Staller Endowment.
Scholarships were awarded through annual contributions and endowed funds donated by companies, industry organizations and individual supporters, all of which share the organization's passion for agriculture education and leadership development.
The winning applicants will be recognized on stage at the Wisconsin FFA Convention in Madison in June.
