Owen-Withee School Board Approves 2nd Reading of Policy Series

-The Owen-Withee School Board approved the 2nd Reading of a policy series at their meeting last week.The Board completed the reading of the 800 Series of Policies that deal with School/Community Relations. A change was made to Rule for policy 830 which deals with the use of district facilities. The change requires "District personnel" to be present when the kitchen is used, rather than "Food Service personnel." The Board unanimously approved the second reading, which makes this series official District policy.
The preparation for the strategic planning sessions, to be held later this month, is well under way. Mike Haynes from CESA 10 has agreed to facilitate the two planning sessions to be held on April 29th and May 27th. A process that will be used for the planning, along with and agenda for the first meeting were presented to the board. The meetings, which will start at 7:00 PM in the high school IMC, are open to anyone wishing to provide input. The input gathered from participants will be used to form goals and objectives for the District for the next five years.
