Several Important Items Approved at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board approved an out of state field trip at their meeting on Tuesday.The 4th-6th grade field trip to the Science Museum in St. Paul was approved. Teachers were reminded that any over-night and/or out-of-state trip must be approved by the board in advance.
The front door security system was installed by Complete Control. Just like at the elementary school, entry during school hours must be approved by the office staff. Also, Norm's Lawn Service was selected for summer mowing and landscaping work.
Finally, the 2015-16 school calendar was approved highlighted by a series of early dismissals spaced about 5-6 weeks apart and a Graduation date that has been moved up 1 week as preferred by parents in a recent survey. Summer School information has been sent home and is due back soon. The expanded program, with the emphasis on enrichment, has been well received.
