Name of the Man Killed in Jackson County Accident Released

-The name of the man killed in a traffic accident in Jackson County has been released.

On April 13, around 5:15pm the Jackson County Sheriff's Office responded to a traffic accident resulting in a single fatality.

The accident occurred on Pettibone Pass, about one mile west of Morrison Road, in the Town of Komensky. Upon arrival, deputies found out that two men had been standing on the bumper of a vehicle with the intention of getting a ride to a nearby home. 26-year-old Darren Hopinka, of Black River Falls, fell from the bumper onto the road. He later died from his injuries. The other man was not injured.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the incident.
