Neillsville City Council Approves Two Donations

Wednesday, April 15th, 2015 -- 8:20 AM

-The Neillsville City Council had a full agenda at their meeting Tuesday evening.

Before the meeting began, Mayor Steve Mabie presented an Oath to the Neillsville Police Department's newest officer Jason King. He also presented a plaque to Daryn Horn for just over 12 years of service on the Neillsville City Council representing the 5th ward as last night was his last meeting.

The council also approved a couple donations. The first was $3,000 from Cummins Filtration to be used for t-ball and junior softball uniforms for the Recreation Department. The second was $250 from the Clark County Law Enforcement Association to the Neillsville Police Department for their K-9 Program. The department doesn't currently have a K-9, but they have $20,000 set aside for it and Police Chief Scott Klueckmann said they'll need around $50,000 to get the program off the ground.
