March Class III Milk Price $15.56 Per Cwt

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The USDA announced that the March Class III milk price was released at $15.56 per hundredweight. That was up 10-cents from February's price, but $7.77 below March 2014.So far in 2015, the Class III price has averaged $15.73 cwt. The average price was $22.34 for all of 2014. Meanwhile, the Class IV price was two-cent lower than last month's price at $13.80, and was $9.86 less than March of last year.
Last week, the USDA announced that Wisconsin farmers received an average price of $17.70 per cwt. for their milk in February. The USDA's Agricultural Prices report showed that the price was down 70-cents per cwt. from January, which was the lowest monthly milk price since June 2012.
