Stratford Man Arrested for Selling Weapons has Several Charges Dismissed

-A suspected weapons dealer from Stratford had a few of the charges against him dismissed in Marathon County Court on Monday.According to authorities, at the beginning of this year they received a tip that 26-year-old Tyler Perkins had been selling weapons. An inmate in a Michigan jail told authorities that he bought weapons from Perkins. As authorities executed a search warrant on Perkins' home, they discovered six loaded weapons, meth, marijuana and THC.
The three charges that Perkins had dismissed included possession of improvised explosives, sell/deliver/possess firearm silencer and a felon possessing a firearm. They were dismissed because the state cannot proceed on the counts involving firearms as they are part of a federal case. Perkins still has several drug charges filed against him.
Perkins is in jail on a $10,000 signature bond and is scheduled for a jury trial next week.
