Memorial Medical Center Foundation Receives Donation from Gross Motors for Women's Health

Wednesday, December 24th, 2014 -- 8:13 AM

-The Memorial Medical Center Foundation announced a donation received from Gross Motors to support women's health and promote prevention. This donation will help women in our community obtain Mammograms despite financial hardship.

Inspired by Peggy Gross's personal experience with breast cancer, the family stands firmly behind their mission to help others and alleviate any financial concerns that might keep local women from having this crucial testing done. They are strong advocates for breast cancer awareness and truly care about their community.

Screening mammography is the best way to detect breast cancer in the earliest stages of the disease; it can detect breast cancer before it can be detected by a physician's exam or any symptoms appear. Breast cancer detected early is much less invasive to treat, and has the best survival rate. It is important to discuss with your doctor all aspects of your health, including breast health. Together, you can determine when you should have a screening mammogram exam.
