68th Alice in Dairyland Applications Due January 5th

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) Wisconsin women interested in applying to become the 68th Alice in Dairyland are being reminded that applications are due soon. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age before June 1, 2015.The woman selected will travel approximately 40,000 miles as a spokesperson for Wisconsin's food, fiber, and natural resources industry. She has the duty of presenting hundreds of speeches, media interviews, and educational presentations throughout the year.
Knowledge or experience in planning and executing public relations or marketing campaigns is a plus. The preferred candidate will also have the ability to discuss Wisconsin's agricultural products and issues facing agriculture in both rural and urban environments. Public speaking skills are essential to the position.
