Representative Bob Kulp Named Chair of Assembly Committee on Mining and Rural Development

-Representative of the 69th District Bob Kulp was selected to chair the Assembly Committee on Mining and Rural Development.The Chairmanship announcement came on late Friday afternoon. This committee will review matters of rural development, rural economic development and rural land issues. State policy matters related to mining will also be addressed in this committee.
"I'm excited that I was selected to chair the Mining and Rural Development committee," said Kulp. "I'm certain that there will be a lot of interesting legislation that will come through the committee this session."
As the Chairman of the committee, Representative Kulp will decide on the committee schedule, preside over public hearings of the committee, and will vote on whether legislation that comes before the committee should pass to the full Assembly for a vote.
