Neillsville City Council Approves Funds Transfer

Friday, December 12th, 2014 -- 9:54 AM

-The Neillsville City Council approved transferring funds at their meeting on Tuesday.

$8,453.91 was moved out of the Sidewalk Outlay Account into the Urban Development Account. That money had been used for the arboretum project, but, with the project being finished, there was money left over in that account. The council moved it to Urban Development, which was over $4,000 in the negative. That account is used to tear down buildings in the city that falls into their property.

The board also approved the resignation of Chris Smith from the Library Board. Neillsville Mayor Steve Mabie said, "they're losing a good member." But, he also added that he does have "someone in mind" to now sit on the board.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mayor Mabie also presented a plaque to Harvey Pischer for his years of serving and volunteering with the City of Neillsville.
