Merillan Man Arrested for Throwing Rocks Through Windows of a Home

-A Merillan man was arrested for throwing rocks through the windows of a residence on South Hammond Street in the Village of Merillan on December 8th.The tenant of the residence was away when the damage happened. The Merillan Police Department tracked footprints around the home to a location on Center Street where a vehicle had been parked. A witness identified the vehicle and its owner leading to an arrest.
The Clark County and Jackson County Sheriff's Department assisted the Merillan Police Department in arresting 52-year-old Steven Scholze. Further evidence connected Scholze to the crime.
Scholze was taken to the Jackson County Jail where he's been charged with bail jumping, criminal damage to property and trespassing. A warrant here in Clark County for over $500 was also added to the booking.
