Red Cross Blood Drive in Neillsville Collects 99 Pints of Lifesaving Blood

Monday, December 8th, 2014 -- 9:30 AM

-The Red Cross Blood Drive held on December first at the Neillsville American Legion collected 99 pints of lifesaving blood.

Appreciation is extended to the many caring donors and volunteers in the community that helped make the drive a success. The 99 pints of blood collected could help save the lives of over 297 patients in need.

Of those giving blood, several people reached totals in the gallons amount including Terry Sischo with 19 gallons, Bonnie Henchen with 15 gallons, 8 gallons from Flip Scharf, 4 gallons from Diane Opelt and Eli Schwartz and 1 gallon from Rosanne Repinski and Christ Hershberger. Sam Hershberger and Robert Steuber were first time donors at the event.

There will be another blood drive in Neillsville this week at OEM from Noon to 5pm on Thursday, December 11th and another at Memorial Medical Center on Thursday, December 18th from 11am-4pm.
