Marshfield Man Sentenced to Prison Time for Threatening a Man with a Knife

Friday, December 5th, 2014 -- 9:43 AM

-A Marshfield man was sentenced to jail time on Monday for threatening another man with a knife back in March.

According to court documents, at the end of March, 25-year-old Christopher Alleshaski became angry when another man spoke with his girlfriend. When the man left the bar with some friends, Alleshaski was outside saying he was going to gut the man "like a pig."

Alleshaski then placed the blade of a knife against the man's throat and made a motion like he was going to cut the man's throat. When Alleshaski took a step backwards, a friend of the man wrestled the knife away from him, but he then began to fight with the man breaking his nose.

After Alleshaski was freed on bond, he was supposed to have absolute sobriety as a condition of it, but he was caught drunk when he was in the vehicle of a friend who was pulled over.

In the end, Alleshaski was sentenced to 5 months in prison, two years' probation and ordered to pay $1,693.78 plus $4,562.80 in restitution.
