Western Half of Knobby Ridge Motorcycle Trail System Set to Open in 2015

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014 -- 9:28 AM

-The western half of the Knobby Ridge motorcycle trail system is set to open in 2015.

According to a press release from the Clark County Forestry and Parks Department, the opening is due to the dedication and hard work of the Midwest Off-Road Trail Riders. The MOTR has been working closely with the Forestry and Parks Department over the past few years in a coordinated effort to rehabilitate the western trail system and has done an outstanding job of bringing volunteers together to accomplish the task.

The western half of the trail, the part west of Bachelors Avenue, will open on May 15th of 2015 as opposed to the old opening date of May 1st. This section contains the 5.4 mile Center Loop, a .5 mile beginner Youth Loop, a .3 mile intermediate Youth Loop and an Intensive Use Area course.

The Forestry and Parks Department asks that you ride responsibly as a lot of time and effort has gone into repairing the system.
