La Crosse Man Faces Charges in Tow Truck Driver Death

A La Crosse man has been charged for hitting and killing a tow truck operator on I-94 near Osseo last month.According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, around 8:25 am, 38-year-old Nathan Walsh of Osseo was struck and killed 5 miles east of Osseo while he was removing a disabled vehicle from the interstate. He was struck by a passing pickup truck driven by 50-year-old Steven Dolan.
The State Patrol said that the tow truck was parked on the right shoulder in front of the disabled car, it had its emergency lights on and Walsh was wearing a reflective vest when he was hit. Lifesaving procedures were attempted by responding officers, but Walsh died on scene.
Dolan has been charged with negligent homicide and he'll be in Jackson County Court on December 8th for an initial appearance.
