CDA Report at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard the CDA Report during their meeting on Tuesday of last week.CDA Director Tim Swiggum reported the Dollar General sale closed last week. Public Works put up a sign on the property as private property and there is no truck parking. There may be some room at the city garage for parking otherwise they will have to find their own parking spaces, but the city will try to assist them in finding a space.
The Harms paperwork is complete and they will be in soon to pay for the property and closing fees. Also, Swiggum has obtained 12 ads for the OWADC map project and has 28 ads yet to sell. Louks also sent an encouraging email this week. There is a renewed interest in the Agri Business Park.
Finally, there are community service workers who will be shoveling and blowing snow from Central Avenue sidewalks.
