Thorp Man Charged with Theft in Chippewa County Has Charges Against Him Dismissed

-A Thorp man charged with theft in Chippewa County had the charges against him dismissed.Back in September of 2013, residents in the Thorp area and into Chippewa County began to notice a vehicle repeatedly driving around the area. It was also around this time that the property owners began to notice missing scrap metal from around their homes. Authorities began to investigate 34-year-old Travis Hamm who had been identified by the property owners.
Hamm had been sentenced to bail jumping and theft of moveable property charges in Chippewa County. However, the charges against him were dismissed and read in for restitution purposes.
Hamm was sentenced to 30 days in jail in Taylor County for another case in which he broke into a cabin near Medford and stole several items. He's also facing drug and theft charges here in Clark County and he will be sentenced for that on January 16th.
