Sunday, November 16th, 2014 -- 11:24 AM

The Owen-Withee Blackhawk football team is heading to the Division 7 State Championship after a 55-21 semi-final win over Almond-Bancroft on Saturday.

The Blackhawks (12-1) led 14-0 with less than two minutes gone in the game and never looked back. They led 42-13 at the half.

It was all about the ground game for Owen-Withee led by their two-headed backfield of Bryce Niemi, who rushed for 180 yards on 25 attempts, and Austin Milliren who had 161 yards on 16 attempts. The two combined for four touchdowns as well. In all, the Blackhawks rushed for 360 yards.

Owen-Withee will now play unbeaten Pepin/Alma in the Division 7 State Championship this Thursday morning at 10 am at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. It will be the 3rd trip in Owen-Withee's history and the first since winning the Division 6 State Title back in 1999.
