Marshfield Man Sentenced for Having Sex with Teenage Runaway

-A Marshfield man was sentenced in Wood County Court on Thursday for having sex with a teenage runaway.

According to authorities, a Marshfield Police Officer went to 27-year-old James Heil's home back in May of this year looking for a 15-year-old runaway. When Heil answered the door he was naked and out of breath and the 15-year-old runaway was sitting on a mattress on the floor looking flushed. Heil and the girl admitted to the officer that they had been have sex when the officer knocked on the door.

Heil was sentenced for a charge of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child. He was sentenced to 5 years' probation and ordered to pay $700 in court costs and restitution. He's also not allowed to have any contact with anyone under the age of 18 and he must comply with the sex offender registry.
