Officer's Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting

Friday, November 14th, 2014 -- 9:31 AM

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Officer's Report at their meeting on Monday.

Neillsville Police Chief Scott Klueckmann said the department had 133 complaints, 70 traffic citations warnings, 5 traffic crash investigations, 16 adult arrests, 4 cases referred to the DA's office, 11 ordinance violations and 38 parking citations.

Chief Klueckmann also said that they have selected a new officer and after a few tests, the department will announce who that is and the department will be fully staffed again. He also pointed out a slight change made to the department's uniforms, more specifically a patch on their shoulder. Chief Klueckmann talked about the body worn cameras a little more stating that the Neillsville Police Department has nothing to hide and they want to be completely transparent with the community.

Some other cases the department had to deal with in the past few weeks included a fight over a stolen cell phone between two individuals, some illegal dumping at the compost site, a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident, a stolen property case and Chief Klueckmann also said that he still hasn't heard anything in regards to the investigation of the fire at Buck's Dollar Bar back in October.
