Vehicle Hits Pedestrian Crossing the Street in Marshfield

-A Marshfield man was struck by a car on Friday of last week.According to the Marshfield Police Department, 36-year-old Craig Nutter stepped into East Arnold Street around 9:30pm on Friday. He was hit by a car driven by 57-year-old Robert Purkapile of Marshfield.
Nutter was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital, but he is in fair condition. Purkapile had a green light when he went through the intersection; however, after hitting Nutter, and carrying him through the intersection, he pulled into a parking lot and drove away when the police arrived.
Purkapile was found and he was cited for hit and run and drunken driving. Nutter was also cited for disregarding the traffic control.
