After Elections, Clark County Will See More of the Same

-Clark County voters have chosen to retain their current leaders.

Looking at results for Clark County, Governor Scott Walker easily won the county with 7,358 votes compared to Mary Burke's 3,829.

Sean Duffy was re-elected as the Representative for U.S. House District 7 with 7,316 votes to Kelly Westlund's 3,475. Terry Moulton was re-elected as the Senator for the 23rd District with 7,265 votes over challenger Phil Swanhorst's 3,441. In state assembly District 68, Kathy Bernier retained her position over Jeff Peck with 1,834 votes to 1,368. For District 69, Bob Kulp was re-elected with 5,232 votes over Norbert Salamonski's 2,179.

Clark County will also retain their current Sheriff Greg Herrick after winning against Scott Haines with 6,132 votes to 4,801. Running unopposed, both County Coroner Richard Schleifer and Clerk of Courts Heather Bravener received 9,249 votes and 8,481 votes respectively.

For the referendum questions, the voters of Clark County strongly support putting money into the state transportation fund that can only be used for roads with 8,154 people voting yes and 2,218 voting no. For the county referendums, Clark County approves the governor excepting funds to expand the state Medicaid/Badercare Program with 6,036 voting yes and 4,391 voting no and they approve having a voter photo ID Law with 6,819 voting yes and 4,068 voting no. Finally, the voters living within the Loyal School District passed the referendum with 668 voting yes and 535 voting no.

Clark County cast a total of 11,464 votes.
