Security Health Plan Names New Director of Actuarial and Underwriting

-Carlos Fuentes has been named director of actuarial and underwriting at Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc.Fuentes comes to Security Health Plan from Boston, where he was vice president at Aon Hewitt Consulting, serving as senior consultant on health care and group benefits. He managed actuarial teams with a focus on client satisfaction and the attainment of long-term goals.
In his new role he will be a key contributor to assessing and managing risk, growing the business profitably, and determining the direction of Security Health Plan.
Fuentes's professional interest is strategy, particularly the business applications of game theory (a mathematical tool to analyze conflict) and system dynamics, which looks at the complex interactions within a system. These are subjects on which he has published and lectured.
