Taylor County Man Sentenced for Shooting Taylor County Deputy

-A Taylor County man was sentenced for shooting a Taylor County Sheriff's Deputy.Back in September in Westboro, which is north of Medford, Taylor County Sheriff's Deputy Chad Kowalczyk, originally from Boyd, made contact with 28-year-old Alexander Schneider as a result of a violation regarding a court ordered injunction.
When Kowzlczyk responded to the violation he was shot at several times by Schneider and the deputy's arm was grazed by a bullet and he was hit in the stomach.
Schneider was sentenced to 40 years in prison and will be on extended supervision for another 20 years after that. Schneider was sentenced for three felonies including 1st degree attempted homicide, possession of a short barrel gun and bail jumping.
