Administrators' Reports at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting, Elementary

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators' Reports at their meeting on Monday of last week.

Elementary Principal Lance Batchelor reported on Parent/Teachers conferences held on October 6th and 9th. 95% of elementary parents attended. The Scholastic Book Fair was run in conjunction with the conferences.

On October 13th, Peggy Goerlitz and Joan Turnquist represented Owen-Withee at the DPI's School of Recognition ceremony in Madison. This is the 10th time the elementary has received the award and the 5th year in a row. Author Katie McKy worked with students on using imagination in writing. A special thank you was given to Julie Plautz for spearheading the program.

Kid's Club started on October 21st and runs Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year. 75 students have registered for the program. A SPECIAL THANK YOU was offered to the Owen-Withee Lion's Club for their generous donation of $300 towards the Kid's Club program.

Finally, the annual Halloween Parade will take place in the elementary school on Friday, October 31st at 2:30pm. Once again, high school and junior students will assist elementary classrooms to get ready for the parade and help get kids in the Halloween spirit.
