Over 146,000 Absentee Ballots Cast So Far

Tuesday, October 28th, 2014 -- 9:55 AM

-Wisconsin election officials say state voters have cast more than 146,000 absentee ballots so far.

The Government Accountability Board released figures Monday that show 146,196 absentee ballots were cast through Friday. Of those, 90,452 were cast in local clerk's offices and 55,717 were cast by mail. About 28,400 absentee ballots have not yet been returned.

None of the ballots will be counted until Election Day on Nov. 4.

Thursday is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot by mail. They must be mailed back by Election Day and received in clerks' offices by 4 p.m. on Nov. 7 to be counted.

Early in-person voting ends this Friday evening.
