Owen-Withee School Board Hear Aid, Revenue Limit and More for 2014-2015 School Year

-The Owen-Withee School Board approved the certified state aid amount at their meeting on Monday.District Administrator Bob Houts presented to the board the state aid calculation worksheet that showed the district is eligible for $3,311,668 in state aid. $50,783 of this aid is removed for the Milwaukee Charter school program. So, the district will receive $3,261,082 for the 2014-15 school year.
With the three pieces of needed information now official, enrollment, valuation and state aid, the revenue limit was calculated for the district. For the 2014-15 school year, the revenue limit was set at $5,309,564.
Also, using the revenue limit worksheet the fund 10 tax levy will be $1,763,730. This creates a mil rate of $9.31 per $1000 of property. The Board unanimously approved this fund 10 tax levy.
