Neillsville City Council Hears Committee Reports

-The Neillsville City Council heard a number of reports from the various city committees during their meeting on Tuesday of last week.

They heard a report from a Heritage Days Committee meeting. The committee approved their 2015 budget, discussed the Miss Neillsville program, discussed this year's Heritage Days, and ordered pottery pieces for next year's Heritage Days.

They council also heard a Police and Fire Commission meeting. That particular meeting was the one that saw Officer Scott Klueckmann hired as the new Chief of Police. Along with that, during a Personnel Committee meeting, it was approved to offer post-employment health insurance to Chief Klueckmann and approve the hiring of a new police officer to fill Chief Klueckmann's former position.

Finally, the council heard the report from a Transit Committee meeting. It was stated that it's time to submit 2015 DOT Transportation Aids application for the city. They also talked about the taxi services' budget for 2015 and the decrease in users of the taxi.
