Tow Truck Driver Hit by Vehicle Near Osseo

-A tow truck operator was killed on I-94 near Osseo Monday morning.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, around 8:25 am, 38-year-old Nathan Walsh of Osseo was struck and killed 5 miles east of Osseo while he was removing a disabled vehicle from the interstate. He was struck by a passing pickup truck.

The State Patrol said that the tow truck was parked on the right shoulder in front of the disabled car, it had its emergency lights on and Walsh was wearing a reflective vest when he was hit. The driver of the pickup truck that struck Walsh is cooperating with the investigation.

Lifesaving procedures were attempted by responding officers, but Walsh died on scene. The Wisconsin State Patrol is continuing with the investigation.
