Clark County HCE's Meet the Candidate Night

-Clark County residents had a chance to hear what their candidate stands for at the Clark County HCE's "Meet the Candidate Night."Sunday night's event had the highest turnout in candidates and media members in the years the HCE has been hosting the event.
The candidates present included Greg Herrick and Scott Haines for Clark County Sheriff, Bob Kulp and Norb Salamonski for the 69th Assembly District, Terry Moulton and Phil Swanhorst for 23rd State Senate District, Kelly Westlund for the federal 7th Congressional District, Kathy Bernier and Jeff Peck for the 68th Assembly District, Richard Pulcher for the 87th Assembly District, Heather Bravener for the Clerk of Courts and Richard Schleifer for County Coroner.
Each candidate was given an opportunity to talk about the issues important to them before answering questions from the media panel and the audience. A wide variety of topics were covered including Ebola, local control, Medicaid expansion, education, jobs, sand mining, the budget, ACT 10, gun rights, unemployment and more.
