Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Releases State Aid Amounts

-The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction provided the October 15th certified amount each school district will receive from the $4.476 billion available under current law for general state aid.

General state aid for school districts increased by $94.4 million from last year; however, the actual amount of aid that the state's 424 public school districts will receive is $85.5 million more that last school year. This is due to a statutory reductions to general state aid for private voucher schools in Milwaukee and independent charter schools supported by tax dollars.

For districts in our area, Abbotsford received $5,106,993; $10,216,162 for Black River Falls; $6,591,906 for Colby; Granton received $1,583,261; $2,232,998 for Greenwood; Loyal received $3,759,169; $20,273,741 for Marshfield; Medford received $12,357,735; Neillsville received $5,707,527; Osseo-Fairchild received $6,473,391; $3,261,082 for Owen-Withee; $3,182,187 for Pittsville; Spencer received $5,807,525; Stanley-Boyd received $6,641,086; Thorp received $3,370,054 and Unity received $1,203,606.
