-Still no word on the cause of a fire that occurred early Sunday morning in downtown Neillsville causing extensive damage to Buck's Dollar Bar at 620 Hewett Street.

According to a press release from Neillsville Police Chief Scott Klueckmann, the Clark County Sheriff's Department Dispatch Center received a call just before 6:30am on Sunday morning of a structure fire at Buck's. The Neillsville Fire Department was dispatched to extinguish the flames and they received mutual aid from Granton, Loyal, Greenwood and Spencer. Officers from the Clark County Sheriff's Department and Neillsville Police Department provided scene security and traffic direction.

Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer said there were people in the two apartments above the bar, but they were able to get out safely and were uninjured.
