Volunteers Needed for Fall Change of Seasons Project

Wednesday, October 15th, 2014 -- 11:10 AM

-Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers of Clark County, Saint Mary's Justice and Peace Committee and the Clark County Office on Aging and Nutrition are looking for volunteers for their wonderful Fall Change of Season Project.

The purpose of the project, taking place on Saturday, October 25th, is to assist the elderly and disabled residents of Neillsville with Fall yard work so they can stay in their homes as long as possible. Some other chores include window washing, cleaning gutters, cleaning flower beds and more.

The organizations are looking for any volunteers that would like to help including businesses, youth groups, church groups, school clubs and any resident in the Neillsville area that would like to help. They usually service 40 to 45 homes each year and they'll begin the day with a small breakfast at the United Church of Christ at 8:30am. If they get enough volunteers, they expect to be done by noon with lunch served after.

If you're interested, please contact Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers, the Clark County Aging Department or Dr. Greg Foster and bring along rakes, work gloves and bags for yard debris.

Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
