State Record Set at Thorp Pumpkin Fest

(Aarik Woods, WQOW) -The City of Thorp saw the state's heaviest pumpkin at its annual Pumpkin Fest.According to WQOW, Chad Gehweiler from Elk Mound took first place in Thorp's 18th Annual Pumpkin Fest with the pumpkin weighing in at 1,882 pounds. Last year, the event weighed in its heaviest pumpkin at 649 pounds.
The farmer is no stranger to taking top spot in these contests. He currently holds the second heaviest pumpkin at the national and state level.
