Man Pleads No Contest in Wood County Court for Having Pot Laced Candy

Tuesday, October 7th, 2014 -- 9:36 AM

-A former Auburndale man arrested for having pot laced candy was found guilty of the charges in Wood County Court Monday morning.

Back in November of 2013, 25-year-old Aaron Keuntjes, formerly of Auburndale, and 23-year-old Alyssa Clapper, of Marshfield, were arrested during two separate traffic stops after Marshfield Police discovered 11.5 pounds of marijuana. Some of the marijuana was laced into chocolate candy.

Keuntjes pleaded no contest to, and was found guilty of, manufacturing THC and manufacturing THC with the intent to deliver. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and it was stated that a 5 year cap will be put on the amount of prison time Keuntjes can serve.

He will be sentenced in December and Keuntjes? associate, Clapper, was already sentenced to 3 years? probation on three of the four counts she was found guilty of for her part in the crime.
