CDA Report and More at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council approved allowing someone to trap and shoot within city limits at their meeting on Tuesday of last week.The council approved the request from Wade Hatlestad to shoot and trap within City Limits on October 4th and will be issued a special permit issued by the Chief of Police, specifying a time frame.
Owen City Clerk Terri Ernst also presented a schedule for conducting the 2015 Budget and committee members will be notified of upcoming meetings.
Finally, the council heard the CDA Report. CDA Director Tim Swiggum reported the check of $80,000 has been received from the rail road real estate transaction. Two different parties are interested in the Woodland Hotel. The City may be working with the Owen-Withee-Curtiss Fire District as Mark Renderman in applying for grants for a new fire hall including a police station. The Community Gardens are done and will be cleaned up yet this year.
