Marshfield Man Charged with Sexual Assault

-A Marshfield man could spend 84 years in prison for sexually assaulting two girls over a 10 month period.According to court records, the abuse occurred in Spencer between March of 2013 and January of 2014 and the girls were in their early to mid-teens. The two girls said the abuse happened multiple times.
When 33-year-old Rafael Ruiz Jr. was asked how many times he assaulted them he said he didn?t know and he ?didn?t write any of it down or keep track.?
Ruiz has been charged with two counts of repeated sexual assault of a child in Marathon County Court, but the court documents stated that additional charges are expected. A $200,000 cash bond was set and the state will seek to place Ruiz on lifetime supervision. Ruiz will appear in court next week for a preliminary hearing.
