Man Involved with Shooting Near Osseo Pleads Not Guilty

-A man involved in a shooting near Osseo has pleaded not guilty.According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff?s Department, they received a call from 46-year-old Wendy Hageness, at the beginning of September, saying there was an unwelcomed man at her home.
Wendy?s husband, 52-year-old Jon Hageness, arrived home and the man, 52-year-old William Ledford pulled a gun on Hageness and ordered him inside the home. Once they were inside, gunshots were heard by the responding officers. Ledford then came outside and was arrested.
Ledford is a relative of Wendy Hageness, but, other than forcing Jon Hageness to write him a check once they were inside, there was no clear motive as to why he did this. Jon Hageness suffered a gunshot wound to the back, but the injury was not fatal and he?s recovering.
Ledford has been charged with attempted murder, theft, burglary and more. A $500,000 bond has been set and he?ll now proceed to trial.
