Administrators' Reports (District) and Employment Matters at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board heard the Administrators? Reports and discussed employment matters at their meeting on Monday.District Administrator John Gaier reported on a thank you card from Urban Sales and Service, data on school funding, broadband expansion grants, an article on Common Core, a WASB Legislative update, articles on the school voucher system, a focus article and The Highground?s Fall Fest.
Mr. Gaier also mentioned the next Neillsville Chamber Business After 5, the upcoming Clark County Schools Forum, the Rural Schools Alliance Conference, the agenda for the first late start day, a scam alert, hand washing education, a free flu clinic, a Wisconsin State Journal article and two articles on the state?s structural deficit.
In employment matters, the board approved the hiring of several new staff members including Angela Meshnick, Holly Opelt, Nicole Hoeser and Kaia Chose all as teaching assistants. The board also approved the confidential staff wages for the 2014-2015 school year.
