Marshfield Woman Appears in Wood County Court for Child Abuse

-A 33-year-old Marshfield woman made an initial appearance in Wood County Court for biting her child.According to court records, 33-year-old Amanda Weinfurtner and a 5-year-old child got into an argument about what the child would wear to school back in May. Weinfurtner became upset because the child didn?t want to wear the clothes she had picked out.
In her frustration, Weinfurtner admitted that she bit the child on the upper arm, causing the child to cry.
Weinfurtner has been charged with child abuse and, if convicted, she could face a maximum sentence of 6 years in prison. A $2,000 signature bond was set against her and she?ll appear in court again next week.
