The Owen-Withee School Board Hears Administrators' Reports (Elementary)

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators? Reports at their meeting last week.Elementary Principal Lance Batchelor reported on the successful open house held on August 27th and the smooth start to the school year. Currently the elementary school has 300 students enrolled.
Picture Day in the elementary, at Owen-Withee, will be Wednesday, September 17th. Friday September 19th will be Grandparents? Day with activities running from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
It was also mentioned that 2 teachers have been trained to administer the PALS literacy assessment.
Finally, Mr. Batchelor offered a big congratulations to the elementary school for being selected as a School of Recognition by the DPI. This is the 5th year in a row the elementary school had earned this award. Representatives of the elementary school will attend a ceremony in Madison on October 13th to be recognized and to receive the award.
