Owen-Withee School Board Summary

The Owen-Withee School Board heard the summer school report and preliminary enrollment numbers at their meeting on Monday.District Administrator Bob Houts reported to the board that the district had 286 participants in their summer school program this past summer generating 716,012 minutes of instruction. When divided by 48,600, the minutes needed to have a full time student, the district added 15 full time students to their student count. This is down from 18 students added in 2013.
Numbers for calculating state aid and revenue limits become official on the third Friday in September, which is the 19th this year. But the district?s numbers as of September 5th show that they have 517 students in school. This is the same number Owen-Withee had in 2013. Their numbers for the 3rd Friday count will be down slightly because they have more students coming in under open-enrollment than they have going out
